His Name is Sonic - Sonic the Hedgehog is a two page preview of Sonic the Hedgehog in this article of "Sega Players Enjoy Club" magazine, dated November 1990. It is in japanese and needs a translation. On the second page there is a drawing which seems to be based off a earlier version of Sonic the Hedgehog as there is a blocky range of something below the mountains, not to mention the palm trees which are in the foreground and Sonic's pose, which is similar to how he looks in the proto image.
