Sonic 3D (cartridge prototype)

From Sonic Retro

Name

I don't think we can call this "Sonic 3D Beta" any more, since there are lots of betas. Since it's similar to the 819 beta, what about "beta 819 alternate" or something like that? Or maybe it should be named after the magazine or wherever it came from? - Hivebrain 03:38, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I'd call it what it is in the sonic 3d beta template. "Original beta".--MathUser 04:05, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
"Original beta" implies that it was created first, rather than discovered first. I've thought of a better name anyway: since it's the only proto found on a cartridge, it should be called "Sonic 3D (cartridge prototype)". - Hivebrain 22:23, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, but you know drx, he could well find another Sonic 3d cartridge prototype. Then you'll be renaming it again. I think Original will imply first prototype discovered, cause if we try to give a number to it now, people wont even recognize it by the article name. Possibly you can say original "October 2006" proto. That way its clarified when it was found, and that it was the first.--MathUser 22:35, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
