Kyodai Eggman Robo

From Sonic Retro

Shouldn't this be moved to "Giant Eggman Robo"? Kyoudai is a transliteration of the Japanese word for giant. We don't use transliterations for other bosses' names, but proper translations. Blue Spikeball (talk) 21:07, 18 September 2022 (EDT)

Our policy with Japanese names is to use Roumanji for the reasons specified here. While "巨大" can translate to "great", it isn't always guaranteed - it could translate into other synonyms such as "huge" or "gigantic".
Though ideally all these bosses have official English names courtesy of Sonic Origins and the Encyclo-speed-ia, so the better idea is to use English names where necessary. In this case, since they both call this boss "Giant Eggman Robo", that name is now correct. --BSonirachi (talk) 08:54, 19 September 2022 (EDT)
