Duplicate files

Hiyo. I may have already told you this before, but please be careful about duplicate files. If you are uploading a file that is higher quality/resolution than an existing file, search for it in a page and upload a new version of the file, changing its details if necessary.

This also applies across multiple wikis like Sega Retro - artwork for Sonic 1 that you uploaded to Sega Retro was already uploaded here by Rlan. --BSonirachi (talk) 12:54, 27 June 2023 (EDT) I totally forgot to check, since it's from Sega Forever x_X (Gestalt (talk) 22:26, 27 June 2023 (EDT))

Files related to events

Files related to real-life events must be tagged with "event" - the files you uploaded related to Sonic Central and Fast Friends Forever have absolutely nothing to do with Sonic Superstars!

Also, do not use Template:Promo as a catch-all for artwork. Use Template:Art instead. --BSonirachi (talk) 17:03, 9 August 2023 (EDT) Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I honestly didn't know where else to put them. Gestalt (talk) 23:08, 9 August 2023 (EDT)

Press release files

From now on, press release files should use Template:PRFile instead of Template:Promo, so that they can be properly categorised under Category:Press release files.

Also, if you have the time, please put the files you upload onto pages so that they are actually used (e.g. add press release files to their game-respective promotional material sub-pages, and promotional screenshots to the Development sub-pages under a "Promotional screenshots" section). There are good chances that others (i.e. me) won't have the time to put everything you upload to a page, thus would just get lost in Special:UnusedFiles, and I don't have time to sift through every file. --BSonirachi (talk) 13:58, 22 September 2023 (EDT) Cool, I'll look into it.
