The Doom is one of two flashback levels in the game Shadow the Hedgehog.

Purpose

After destroying the G.U.N. robots at Prison Island or finding Dr. Eggman at Cryptic Castle, Shadow can be seen walking through the woods (during midday if from Prison Island, at dusk if from Cryptic Castle). Suddenly, the ground disappears from beneath him, and Black Doom teleports him back in time to the date of the G.U.N. raid on the ARK. Being back here, Maria begs him to save the wounded researchers. Shadow however, wants to get Maria to safety. On the other hand, Doom's Eye tells him to take out the G.U.N. soldiers like he should have all those years ago.

Appearance

Overall, The Doom looks very similar to Lost Impact. The key differences are a greater abundance of G.U.N. troops, broken and cracked walls, the lack of GUN lifts, and fires everywhere. Also like Lost Impact, The Doom has neon-style light fixtures that can be broken and utilized as melee weapons.
