- 1992 — The Western release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive. Also known as "Sonic 2sday" due to this day falling on a Tuesday.
- 1996 — Sonic Christmas Blast, a special Christmas Sonic animation, airs on USA Network Television.
- 1997 — Sega of America hosts the "Sega Super Sonic Spud Dive" at Pier 39 in San Francisco, California, to help promote Sonic R.
- 2005 — Sonic Gems Collection is released for the PlayStation 2 in Korea.
- 2006 — Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) is released for the Xbox 360 in Europe.
- 2010 — Issue #219 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by Archie Comics is released in North America.
- 2011 — Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is released for iOS in Japan.
- 2016 — Season one of the Sonic Official livestream begins on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel.
