Sonic Maker is an unreleased PC game creation application being made by Sonica. It is designed to be a user-friendly level editor using existing game objects, including platforms, rings, boxes, and loops. It's easy-to-use interface allows simple click & place in a level grid as every object is a set number of squares. As of now, there is functions to save or test your layouts, but this is still in a testing phase.

First appearance

Sonic Maker was first mentioned on this thread on the Sonic Retro message board to spark attention, also to see what the community thought of the idea. After a good response, Sonic Maker started its Internet life.

Programming

Like many programmers, Sonica is making Sonic Maker's editor in Visual Basic 2010 although started in Visual Basic 2008 The runner will use a variation of engines ranging form Game Maker to Visual Basic.
