Sonic's Christmas Blast

Sonic's Christmas Blast was a TV special, and the last episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Interestingly, the worlds of SatAM and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog collide in this special (mentions of Robotropolis and the presence of Princess Sally Acorn).

Story

One Christmas day, Santa Claus announces that he's retiring, and to replace him, Dr. Robotnik has signed up as Robotniklaws. Meanwhile, Sonic the Hedgehog is trying to get a present for his girlfriend Sally. But when Sonic and Tails discover that Robotnik has replaced Santa, they chase after him. Robotnik plans to ruin Christmas by making everything the opposite, little kids are forced to give the diabolical doctor presents! There's even more mayhem when the two friends find out that the "Santa" that retired was actually a robot! Can Sonic and Tails defeat Robotniklaws and rescue Santa? And can Sonic find a gift for Sally in time?

• Humpty is never mentioned by name. There is also a little boy who warns Sonic and Tails about Robotniklaws, who is also never named.

• Sally appears for a small cameo appearance, but she never gets a chance to speak. She is also pink, instead of her usual brown colour.

• On TV, Sonic's Christmas Blast had a special introduction with a different theme tune.

• Sonic's Christmas Blast's name is similar to the Mega Drive, Saturn and PC game Sonic 3D Blast (known as Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island in Europe and Japan).

• This was aired November 24, 1996.

• Sonic is mainly 5-fingered in this episode, but he sometimes switches to 4 fingers and mainly is 4-fingered in AOSTH and SatAM.
