Coastal Valley is a hack of Emerald Hill Zone created by Saxman. It works with both Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Knuckles in Sonic 2. It was one of the first full-scale level hack for a Sonic game to be completed, with the final version being released on November 11, 2000. The entire level layout was created using a hexadecimal editor.
