Coastal Valley is a hack of Emerald Hill Zone created by Saxman. It was the first full-scale level hack to be completed for the retail version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Knuckles in Sonic 2. The final version was released on November 11, 2000. The entire level layout was created using a hexadecimal editor.
