These controls are intended for a Contra-esque run'n'gun shooter.

Collectable powerups may replace the functionality of the A and/or C buttons.
Problems
- Not possible to aim or while stationary.
- An "aimlock" button has been suggested to allow for standing still and aiming in any direction, possibly holding the Jump button after landing? I'd like to avoid requiring a six-button controller if possible, since more people have a three-button controller.
- Not possible to aim while moving.
