The ROM itself is the games third revision which is found in ''[[Sonic Mega Collection]]'' although a few extra extra interrupt vectors are added. The emulator in use is actually called iGenesis. The game is controlled by a directional pad and a button which appear onscreen as the game starts. It is possible to shrink the screen so that using the controls will not block the view. Publisher: Sega
Developer:

Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック ザ ヘッジホッグ) is a game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Rather than being a port it is a emulator+ROM and somewhat accurately emulates the original Sonic the Hedgehog for the Mega Drive. The ROM itself is the games third revision which is found in Sonic Mega Collection and the emulator is called iGenesis.

The game is controlled by a directional pad and a button which appears onscreen as the game starts. It is possible to shrink the screen so that using the controls will not block the view. A game save option is available and allows a game to be resumed after being turned off.
