SalamiDragon

From Sonic Retro

<forumuser name="SalamiDragon" />

SalamiDragon is a rather interesting individual. His past with Sonic is deep seeded and goes all the way back to his impressionable childhood years. SalamiDragon was an odd young child that took to his Sega Genesis for comfort. He grew more and more obsessed with Sonic in the coming years. This was all until he suffered a great tragedy, the loss of his Sega Genesis. Needless to say, this drove him further into madness. During those dark times, he used The Sonic OVA on video cassette to keep himself sane. Also, with the help of his virus-ridden computer, he turned to roms and emulation for sustenance.

As the years went on, SalamiDragon was turned on to other form entertainment. Pokemon, Gitarooman, Gardening, Maple Story, but he kept coming back to his one true love. Sonic the Hedgehog. This resulted in what he thought to be the best resource for Sonic news on the internet, "Super Mega Neo Sonic Universe." After a gradual loss of interest, he made several other forums, including: "Sonic Heaven", "The Sonic Forum That doesn't suck", and "What is Brock?" He also created his original copyrighted Sonic fan character, "MegaSonic1232000" who was "like Sonic, only a little darker." This led to a collaborative project with some guy named P.J. called "Sonic Insanity." "Sonic Insanity" was a flash animation that was just hard to watch, honestly. According to interviews with it's creators, "Sonic Insanity" was animated first, (poorly) and had a script and jokes shoe-horned in later.

Fast forward a few years, and SalamiDragon joined the growing ranks of YouTube. It is here, where he found himself joining the craze known as fan dubbing. His first smash hit was "Sonic the Movie Fan Dub" soon followed by the Pokemon themed fan dub, "The Chronicles of Assface." With his fame (and subsequently his e-penis) growing, SalamiDragon wanted to get more videos out with less effort. Thus, he started to create updates about the then upcoming "Super Smash Bros. Brawl." Every week, he would review the week's updates to the Smash Bros. Dojo blog. By using clever wit, superb video editing, Smash Bros. Porn, ridiculous bets, and guest stars, managed to create quite the entertaining web show. He also gained quite the audience in doing so.

After the Brawl updates, his history of production sort of trailed off. He started an update series on Sonic 4, but the whole game was later leaked, and Sega tried to take down one of them, so he just quit doing that. There were a few little video projects here and there, but nothing ever really came to fruition.

SalamiDragon currently resides just outside of Chicago where he is going to school for animation. He is also working as art designer on a Sonic hacking project with newcomer KarrotKonvoy.
