Name
"G-merl" is the official spelling used in Sonic Advance 3 Saikyou Kouryaku Guide. Photo: https://imgur.com/a/ImjsP --Pecky (talk) 08:04, 18 March 2018 (CDT)
- A brief look at this - I agree that G-merl is probably more appropriate. There are later English texts with "Gemerl" but if it's a common misconception... it might have been misconceived. Unless it's said in the game at some point - I'm not as familiar with Advance 3 as the first two.
- "Gemerl" is valid for the Archie comics version though.
- I'm also obliged to say we need a full PDF scan of that guide so we can provide a proper reference to the G-merl name -Black Squirrel (talk) 08:55, 18 March 2018 (CDT)

- The English name of the character is supposed to be spelled as Gemerl, not G-merl, which is what Ian Flynn has confirmed on the Bumblekast. And Gemerl is what is used in the Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-speed-ia while G-merl is no longer being used by SEGA. I also have found a tweet from the official Sonic Twitter using Gemerl instead of G-merl.
