Special-ED is a program made by Saxman intended to allow editing of Sonic 2 special stages. The program was abandoned before editing capabilities could be added, but it can still view the stages. The program was written in x86 assembly and runs in DOS.

SHaC hosted Build 1, but no other builds were released to the public, and the final build got neither a public nor a private release. Build 1 showed the object placement, while Build 2 added the checkpoint visuals. The final build is the only one that provides either a name or a version number for the program.
