Tell us about yourself!

My name is Matt Braly and I am a director/producer/writer. I've been a big Sonic fan my whole life.

What are you known for?

I've worked on animated shows such as Steven Universe and Gravity Falls but am probably best known for my own series, Amphibia. Amphibia is about 3 teen girls who get stuck in a world of talking frogs and have all kinds of crazy adventures while trying to get home. It actually has a lot of fun video game references for eagle eyed viewers!

Who is your favorite Sonic character?

My favorite character has always been Knuckles the Echidna. Something about his design and personalty really click for me.

What was your first encounter with Sonic?

I was a sick kid growing up and one time when I was stuck in the hospital for a few weeks my dad bought me a Game Gear with Triple Trouble. Even though I was stuck inside the game made me feel like I could run around and have adventures.

Besides this Sonic comic, do you have anything exciting coming up?

I'm working on a lot of things - I have a movie in development, a graphic novel coming out next year, and am supervising a series of animated shorts that focus on social issues. Please look forward to hearing more about all three in the future.
