Many unused objects weren't put in Sonic the Hedgehog during development due to time constraints and other technicalities.

Ball

  • Function: obstacle / vehicle
  • Location: Green Hill Zone
  • Description: A big ball that carries Sonic along. Cut out in final version, used as Robotnik' s vrecking ball. Similar to Oil Ocean's Spring Ball.

Yadrin

  • Function: badnik
  • Location: Marble Zone
  • 0Description: Badnik with spikes on top. In final version moved to Spring Yard Zone.

Catakiller

  • Function: badnik
  • Location: Sparkling Zone
  • Description: Catakiller, located in Sparkling Zone. Removed from Spring Yard Zone.

Block No. 1

  • Function: obstacle
  • Location: Labyrinth Zone
  • Description: Push the block and it will act like the one in Marble Zone.

Block No. 2

  • Function: vehicle
  • Location: Labyrinth Zone
  • Description: Jump on the platform and it will fly to the right until it hits the wall. Then it'll drop down.

Block No. 3

  • Function: obstacle
  • Location: Labyrinth Zone
  • Description: Run into the block FROM THE SIDE and it will slowly fall down.

Star Pointer

  • Location: Clock (W)ork Zone
