Super Mario Maker is a create-your-own Mario game for the Wii U. It was released in September 2015.
Play as Sonic
Super Mario Maker features many unlockable characters that can be used in the original Super Mario Bros. mode, including Sonic. These are either unlocked at random or by using the character's Amiibo. While the characters don't have any different abilities from Mario, they do have different sound effects. Like Sonic has his jumping sound effect, and the game over music and Act Clear music from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 are used.
