- 2000 — Issue #175 of Sonic the Comic is published in the United Kingdom. This marks the beginning of the Sonic Adventure story arc, which would be the comic's final story arc.
- 2001 - Sonic Adventure 2: The Trial is released for the Sega Dreamcast in Europe.
- 2004 — Sonic Hopping is released for i-mode 503i and i-mode 505i devices in Japan.
- 2006 — Sonic Riders is released for the Nintendo GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox in Japan.
- 2008 — drx releases a massive Sega QA archive (ca. 1994-1995) containing more than 1,000 prototypes, including five near-final builds of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive, prototype builds for an unreleased version of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and a prototype of Sonic Mega Collection which contains references to Sonic the Hedgehog CD, a game famously scrapped from the collection before release.
- 2010 — Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is released for the Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS in North America.
