- 1974 — Eitaro Toyoda, Shadow the Hedgehog level designer and Sonic Forces writer, is born.
- 1995 — Issue #68 of Sonic the Comic is released in the United Kingdom.
- 1998 — Sonic Adventure is released for the Sega Dreamcast in Japan.
- 2009 — Issue #11 of Sonic Universe is released in North America.
- 2017 — Sonic 3D: Director's Cut, a ROM hack by the original game’s programmer Jon Burton, is released online.
- 2020 — The fourth and final issue of Sonic the Hedgehog: Bad Guys, a comic mini-series, is released in North America. Sonic the Hedgehog Non-Stop Music Collection Vol.5, an album, is made available digitally on streaming services in Japan.
