The '''Sega Digio II''' is an enhanced version of the [[Sega Digio SJ-1]] digital camera made for use with the [[Sega Saturn]].  In Japan, Saturn became something of an alternative computer, as Sega released a keyboard, disk drive and internet browser for their 32-bit console, and the Digio II plays into this computer idea by providing a camera. The quality of the photos that it takes is acceptable for images that are posted on the internet (standard 72dpi to 100dpi) but not for professional applications. The suggested retail price of the Digio package was Y29,800 or roughly USD$260.

Aspiring digital photographers may also choose to transfer their pictorials directly to 3.5" diskettes. The data may then be read by a PC or a Mac and then loaded into your favorite paint program for image re-touching or sharpening. It was considered a novelty that may attract Saturn owners eager to show that their console can do something the Playstation can't.
