The Saturn features a double speed CD-ROM drive manufactured by JVC-Victor (Some models may have been manufactured by Hitachi or Sanyo). The drive has an transfer rate of 320K/s, and a 64K data cache. Drive related functions are controlled via a single Hitachi SH1 32-bit RISC processor operating at 20Mhz.
