Old Man Owl

Old Man wearin Sonics clothes.

Old man, referred to as "Oji-san" in Japan (Oji-san also means old man), is the President's kooky old messenger. With his age he has become a bit senile and his eyesight is pretty bad too. In the scenes he is in he usually serves as the comic relief.

Story

When Robotnik shows up at the Presidential Palace Old Man is sent by the President to summon Sonic there. He leaves for South Island in his mini-jet to find him. As he approaches the island he begins to land but due to his bad eyesight he nearly clips Tails with the front propellers. The engine on his jet then catches fire and the starts flying erratically. Tails attempts to rescue him and is unable to which causes Sonic to leap into action saving them both. On the island the Old Man begins to cry until a Crabmeat badnik pinches him. He eventually regains his composure and delivers the message. With his plane being wrecked he remains on the island while Sonic and Tails take off.

A night or two later Hyper Metal Sonic shows up on the island and is mistaken to be Sonic by the Old Man. As Hyper Metal Sonic closes in he starts to panic fearing Sonic is angry. The next day Tails returns with Knuckles to the island and finds the Old Man missing and starts to worry. After calling for him a few times the Old Man answers back and Tails scolds him when he sees he's wearing Sonics clothes. He explains that Sonic was there the night earlier and made him wear the clothes.

They then go into the abandoned airplane which is used as Sonics house. He picks up his portable music player and dances in the background. After they recieve a phone call from the President Tails and Knuckles leave together and the President picks him up later. They then head off to find Hyper Metal Sonic together.
