Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade Edition, known as Mario & Sonic at Rio Olympic Arcade Game (マリオ&ソニック AT リオオリンピック アーケードゲーム) in Japan, is an adaption of Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games for an arcade environment.
This version of the game is very different to its Wii U and Nintendo 3DS counterparts, being controlled by two foot pads on the floor and two big red levers.
In preparation for the next Olympic Games event, Sega released Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 - Arcade Edition, which was also offered as an upgrade kit for Rio 2016 Arcade Edition.
