Despite a Speed Slider-esque level existing in Sonic Crackers, this is the least complete stage in the 1207 prototype. No rings or objects are loaded, so none of the levels can be finished by normal means. Levels 3, 4 and 5 also do not appear to exist yet, being carbon copies of level 2 in this build.
The "day" palette is used regardless of the chosen time in the 1207 prototype.
The background is more animated in the final game. In the 1207 prototype, there are palette errors instead.
Prototype 1207 has a Sonic the Hedgehog staple; loops. They don't work properly, with characters falling off at the three-quarter mark. Despite getting loops (mostly) working back in Sonic Crackers, the final game has no loops at all (in any level).
