- 1993 — Sega sponsors Formula 1's Williams team for the 1993 season. Sonic's gloves and trademark red sneakers are painted on the car, positioned to suggest that Sonic's feet are at the pedals.
- 2003 — Sonic Mega Collection is released for the Nintendo GameCube in Australia and Germany.
- 2004 — "Morning of Farewells", the 50th episode of Sonic X, airs in Japan.
- 2012 — Sonic & Tails 2 is released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console in Japan.
