The bonus stages in the 1207 prototype are mostly complete, and function almost exactly as intended. Unlike the final game, the ring count does not gradually decrease and there is no "Time Up" ending when it reaches 0 (in fact the stage can be started with 0 rings through the stage select).

Hitting blocks produces less of a bounce, making it harder to obtain multiple items. The puffs of smoke are also missing when they disappear.

While stage select blocks appear from time to time, combi catcher blocks never do. As the game still relies on test menus, neither would be of much help.
