- Back to: Chaotix (prototype 1207)/Comparisons.
Introduction
The 1207 has elements of the introduction sequence in place, but it doesn't make much sense at this stage. An already combined Knuckles and Espio are shown as the stage starts, but only Knuckles is seen when the player takes control.
A short walk later, Espio drops in and Metal Sonic appears. Metal Sonic has a look at you, and then flies off to the right. Eggman is nowhere to be seen.
Move along a bit and the game will force you to complete the tutorial. The colours are a bit muted but it's otherwise identical.
Level
This collapsing platform has the wrong palette.
Lifts that are controlled by your partner standing on a switch have the wrong palette at sunset. This one is also positioned slightly higher.

Training
The final version of Chaotix also has four training levels which take place on Isolated Island. Only three are accounted for in this prototype, and can either be accessed through the difficult-to-activate Time Attack screen, or via the stage select. In this build, the first training level is located at Training 1, the second at Training 2 and the third at Training 0. Attempting to load Training 3, 4, 5 or 6 will load an empty level. The Time Attack screen has the correct level order but for its third stage, will attempt to load Training 3 instead of Training 0.
All three levels are missing objects and will always use the "day" palette, while the first Training level will loop endlessly. An Isolated Island title card has yet to be programmed, so all are labeled as Botanic Base.
