Mighty using the Wall Jump in Knuckles' Chaotix

The Wall Jump was first introduced in Knuckles' Chaotix, and also appears in Sonic Unleashed. When a character capable of using the Wall Jump jumps again while pressed against a wall, they will kick off of the wall. In Knuckles' Chaotix and Sonic Unleashed, the Wall Jump propels the character upward and sideways. In Sonic Heroes, Speed characters perform a similar move called the Triangle Jump which instead of jumping upward, jumps horizontally to jump large gaps.

In Knuckles' Chaotix the Wall Jump can be used to scale walls as Mighty. Simply aim back towards the wall, and continually jump off of the same wall.
