Images on Sonic-Into the void

Hi,

The images on your page Sonic-Into the void appear to have been taken at a resolution higher than 1x (320x224) with some sort of filtering applied. (I think Scale2x?)

Can you retake the screenshots with all filters disabled and at the original 320x224 resolution? (The monitor images can be cropped, but the source image should be 320x224.)

Also, the ROM images should be compressed in order to reduce bandwidth. (Zip is supported on most systems, but GZip and 7z also works.)

I noticed you reuploaded all of the screenshots; however, they're still not quite right. The full screens are 320x244; the correct resolution is 320x224. How exactly are you taking the screenshots? (What emulator, what method for taking the screenshot, etc.) ---GerbilSoft 03:48, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
Also, instead of uploading new versions of the images, you created completely new files, so the old ones are still present. I'll delete them later, but remember for next time that you can upload a new image on top of an older one. (Do note that CloudFlare occasionally has caching issues when doing this, so you might not see the new image immediately.) ---GerbilSoft 03:50, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi, sorry about all this, this time I just got mixed up with 224 and 244, also the way I print screened is by the "print screen" button for the pc and cropped it in Powerpoint & saved them as png files, then re adjusted the resolution in paint. Hope this helps.
Also can you guide me through how to upload a new version of files please, because on one of the pictures that were wrong, and I couldn't see anything about adding a new version.
Sorry for all this. ---Blueblur93 14:52, 13 February 2014 (GMT)
That is definitely not the right way to take screenshots. You should use the built-in screenshot function of whatever emulator you're using. See Sonic Retro:Screenshots for more information. What emulator are you using?
(Also, to reupload an image, click the "Upload a new version of this file" link on the image page. If this doesn't show up, then it might be a permissions issue.) ---GerbilSoft 15:37, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
I use KEGA Fusion for SEGA emulation. It probably is the permissions issue, because I am only a Trial Member, currently on a trial, (unless that's just for the Forums). But from now on I'll use the emulator's screenshot. Thanks for your help. ---Blueblur93 16:18, 13 February 2014 (GMT)
