Andrew Wolan is credited for bring the Sonic Hacking Scene to the mainstream. Through the founding of SSRG in 1998, Andy helped open the secret community of Sonic ROM hacking to the masses. This was done by first posting numerous oddities found in various Sonic games, and later by hosting numerous rising stars in the community. The site was highly popular in its time and is still remebered to by many sceners to this day.

The SSRG was disbanded on January 23, 2003 after a bitter feud with the Sonic CulT. It was brought back later by Johnny UK and others, but is not as popular as it was under Andy's ruling.

Andy was also webmaster of the once popular console emulation site Emulation Zone. Current where abouts are unknown.
