: Yeah, one page per enemy per game might be for the best. Like we have for all the various Green Hill Zones, rather than clumping them together under one article. As you say, the Wiki pages get incredibly unwieldy for the enemies that appear in a dozen different games. It would also alleviate the messiness of inconsistent localisations if we do it game by game - Orbinaut, for example, is a bit of a nightmare. The per-game solution would be easier to maintain.

:If we do go in this direction though, it would be nice to have a section for "Appearances in other games", "See Also", or some-such. --Pecky (talk) 18:02, 7 August 2018 (CDT)

I'm not too keen on merging this page, because while yes, it has the same name, it doesn't look the same and it doesn't act the same. I think it might just be different enough to deserve its own page.

It's less clear cut on the Buzzer/Stinger situation.

Though it might be a better idea to give every enemy its own page, so we have lots of Buzz Bombers. They all look and behave slightly differently between games anyway, and when you add up all the concept art and technical details and instruction manual descriptions, there's the potential for pages to get quite meaty.

Not a perfect situation because not all Buzz Bombers appear in video games, but it could mean we could justify a "flying insects" template to group similar enemies across games together.

Although maybe we can do that anyway. Food for thought. -Black Squirrel (talk) 16:27, 7 August 2018 (CDT)
