Spike Column (トゲ柱) is an object found in Sonic the Hedgehog 3's Marble Garden Zone. It erupts from the ground when Sonic approaches, moving both side-to-side and up and down. The spikes on its spinning sides will hurt Sonic, but the top can be stood on and used to reach higher areas. In some cases, this is required to finish the level.
