Unlike the Simon Wai prototype, the Special Stage is accessible from the level select... sort of. It's in fact a very broken version of the original Sonic the Hedgehog Special Stage, playing Casino Night Zone's music.

The remnants of Sonic enter the level...

Hit what was once a goal block and you'll be taken to a blue screen with Chemical Plant Zone's music playing.
