Sonic the Hedgehog was a planned conversion of Sonic the Hedgehog to the Mega CD. It was shown at the 1992 Summer CES in Chicago and featured in issue 11 of the Mega Play magazine. A short gameplay video was shown which may have been originated from the Sega Genesis game. This game was discontinued in favor of Sonic the Hedgehog CD.
