Sonic SCANF (Соник Сканф) is a Russian Sonic community and information resource, one of three main Russian Sonic sites. Mostly known as a news portal and wiki, it also has a forum and a fanfiction archive.

History

Sonic SCANF (called just Scanf then) was founded by Quantum on February 11, 2008 as a generic uCoz site. "Scanf" meant "Sonic City: a New Fan", This was a result of bad English and had made no sense. After joining forces with NeKit, the site was rebuilt from the ground up and a new version was opened on December 24, 2008.

In the middle of 2009, the wiki was created, first mainly as a translation of Sonic Retro, but later it gained some originality.

On January 1, 2010, the dark-blue design was replaced with a new light one. In the following summer, as an experiment, a fanfiction archive was added.
