- 1968 — Scott Dreier, the English voice actor for Knuckles the Echidna from 2001 to 2004, is born.
- 2007 — Sonic Hopping 2 is released for Vodafone Live! (256KB) compatible phones through Sega's Sonic Cafe portal in Japan. Issue #178 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by Archie Comics is released in North America.
- 2012 — Rise Again and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I & II Original Soundtrack, both CDs, are released in Japan. Issue #239 of the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series by Archie Comics, plus the trade paperback Sonic Universe Graphic Novel Series Volume 3: Knuckles Returns, is released in North America.
