There was a 0.80 beta build that fixed all the graphical bugs seen in previous releases, added support for Sonic 2 revision 00, and added a debugger feature to show data for each object. Sonic Sound Editor is a program made by Saxman that allows the alteration of song tempos, as well as the replacement of the SEGA choir. It works with Sonic the Hedgehog (16-bit) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (16-bit). The program was written in x86 assembly and runs in DOS.

The source code was released on January 16, 2023.
