Perfect Dark Gaia is Dark Gaia's final form and the last boss of Sonic Unleashed. It is unleashed during the fight with Dark Gaia after absorbing Sonic's dark energy which transformed him into the Werehog.
You fight him as Super Sonic after he transforms. In the 360/PS3 version, you are traveling to a shield created by snake-like things of Perfect Dark Gaia. You must destroy the shield by destroying the monsters while Gaia Colossus is holding off Perfect Dark Gaia (if Gaia Colossus dies, you will lose a life). Once you destroy the shield, you will go through QTEs of Super Sonic blazing through Perfect Dark Gaia to protect Gaia Colossus, Gaia Colossus blocking the energy beam from Perfect Dark Gaia, and Gaia Colossus punching Perfect Dark Gaia. The finale of the boss will have Super Sonic crashing into Perfect Dark Gaia's eyes. In the Wii/PS2 version, the player must use a Super Sonic Boost and attack each of Perfect Dark Gaia's seven eyes while dodging meteors.
