The Egg Lancer is another of Eggman's boss machines. It is the Egg Devil Ray and the Egg Beetle merged into one powerful machine.
This fight takes course on a pre-determined path, running along a wall, then through an underpass, before using QTE's over a gouge before entering a tunnel where the path restarts. All this time the boss is hitting you with its lasers, energy balls, and the pincer from previous encounters.
The point is to knock it's health to zero. This can be tricky though, as there are only a few select times you can hit him.
