The Homing attack/jumpdash in Sonic 2 proof of concept hack is a hack which adds the homing attack to Sonic's arsenal of moves in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The Homing attack is a move which is performed in mid-air to zoom into Badniks and objects with a high speed attack. In addition, trailing images appear when the player reaches top speed. It was created primarily by Hitaxas but with assistance by shobiz.
Problems with this Hack
- There is a problem with clipping on walls and it is possible for Sonic to catch onto the side of the wall and walk in mid-air. It can interrupt jumps.
- Rebound when landing on monitors is also removed when jumping on them. Rebounding still works when using the homing attack.
