Sonic 1

  • Green Hill Zone - The spikes that rotate around a horizontal pole, which you must time your jumps onto to avoid getting hit.

Sonic 3

  • Angel Island Zone - Similar to the spiked pole in Sonic 1, except much shorter in length.
  • Marble Garden Zone - A tall pillar with spikes on its side that rotates and moves back and forth.
