Ixis Naugus is a character created by DiC for the 1993 Sonic the Hedgehog animated TV series (SatAM). He was first mentioned in the episode Blast to the Past (Part 2) then made his proper debut in the episode The Void.

Character conception
Originally, Naugus was named Ixis in early development of The Void.[1] The name Ixis was not used in the final version of the episode but went on to be used within the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie comics series.
Ben Hurst wanted bring back Naugus for the third season of the cartoon, working with Snively, but the series was canceled after two seasons.[2]
