Spiker, known as Togemane (トゲマネ) in the Japanese manual, is a spike enemy found among the real [[Spikes (obstacle) |spikes]] of Sonic 3's Marble Garden Zone. Normally they appear as normal spikes. They have a slight visual difference from real spikes when you aren't near, making them easy to detect. But when you come near, they shoot out from the ground, revealing their entire body, and proceed to shoot bullets at you, one from the left and one from the right. It will then return to the ground. The delay between it coming out and shooting bullets should be enough time to spindash into them.

If you're falling or jumping, these spikes won't hurt you; you will bounce off them.
