<forumuser name="Jaseman" /> Jaseman, known as James Sturges in the real world, is your friendly neighborhood 16 year-old who seems to have a ridiculously extended knowledge of anything gaming, but he may be making that up. His knowledge and his humor is what he's known for, both on and off the web.

Early Life

James lived in California for a while, then moved to a few places before settling down somewhere else. He was homeschooled until 2009, and then he went to public school (which is better). His older brother had a Sega Genesis which he loved and played every day, due to the fact that the only other gaming system he had was his Game Gear. He played Sonic 2 obsessively, but couldn't finish it until a few years ago. His 2 consoles were later Goodwill'd, and he got Sonic Mega Collection Plus for the PC.

Current Status

James is now a Sophomore in his high school, and is probably the school's nerdiest person. He is pretty good at that school thing, and makes the grades. He is a huge SEGA nerd, and enjoys talking about that subject, even though nobody else does. This has lead to is reputation as a scholar of the obscure. He currently writes, but not for any sites. Yet.

Jaseman and Sonic Retro

James signed up for Sonic Retro under the name Jaseman in 2009, got validated, made 20 posts, and wasn't approved. This made him angry, and he though it would be a good idea to create another account under the name RotorTheWalrus, which Tweaker saw through immediately, but somehow let James into Retro anyway.

Contributions to Retro

James is currently on Team No-Name, led by Theocas as the idea man & level designer. Team No-Name is currently working on Sonic No-Name, a extended hack of Sonic 1. James does have extensive knowledge of everything related to pirates, Hong Kong Originals and obscure games like Somari; however, he has not contributed really much at all to the scene besides stirring up a mostly useless conversation about Somari Advance, which is a 32-bit remake of Somari.

=Outside of Retro

James plays a lot of Xbox Live, Minecraft, and PC games. He plays a lot on the Retro Minecraft server.
