The Making of... Sonic the Hedgehog is a four-page retrospective feature on the development of Sonic the Hedgehog, published in issue #101 (September 2001) of the UK magazine Edge. Page one makes mention of the McDonalds line of LCD games released. Page two and three mention that rabbits, pandas, armadillos, and kangaroos, among other creatures were considered as the mascot character before the hedgehog was selected.
The scans below are from a reprinted version of the article, which appeared in a special "Retro" issue of Edge that compiled many of the magazine's previously-published Making Of articles.
