Emulator bugs
Lakitu overflow
In older emulators such as Gens and Genecyst, there is an overflow bug in World 4-1 where the interval between each Spiny Egg thrown by Lakitu is not properly emulated. This results in Lakitu throwing so many Spiny Eggs at once that the game freezes from overflow. This does not occur on a real Sega Mega Drive.
Fixed in more accurate emulators such as Kega Fusion and Genesis Plus GX.
