Sonic 2 - The Hybridization Project is a unique hack of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis which aims to be a mashup of both the 16-bit Sonic 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit). By using 8-bit sprites and a lowered color palette, Dr. Eggfan manages to turn the classic Sonic 2 16-bit levels into mockups of each of the Sonic 2 8-bit levels. This hack features palette editing and art replacement.
