A device that allows a user to connect more than two controllers to a game console that has only two controller ports. Multitaps exist for many consoles, including the Sega Genesis and Sony PlayStation. Newer consoles usually have four controller ports built in, so multitaps have become (nearly) obsolete. --GerbilSoft 00:18, 26 Sep 2004 (MDT)
