Nintendo's mascot, a fat Italian plumber carpenter from New York (?) he debuted in the game "Donkey Kong" and was named "Jumpman." He had to rescue his girlfriend Pauline from the clutches of an evil, gigantic ape. He was supposedly named after Nintendo's landlord.
